- כְּבִי, כְּבָאch. same. Sabb.21b כבתה; ib. 30a לכבות, h. forms. Pa. כַּבֵּי to extinguish. Ber.58a וכַבִּינְהוּ לעיניה Ar. (Ms. M. ונכבינהו, corr. acc.; ed. חברוהי כחלינהווכ׳) dimmed his eye-sight, v. בּוֹטְטָא. Ib. 60b bot. אתא … כַּבְּיֵיה לשרגיה there came a wind and put out his lamp.
